..but not just any sneaker store..this was NYC’s ALife..the sneakerhead shoe haven in the L.E.S…and it wasn’t just any day..it was the day before the release of Nas’ new album..and since Nas is a self proclaimed sneakerhead (who can forget the infamous “Im a nike head, i wear chains that excite the feds” line) it made sense that we all ended up full circle, in sneaker store’s tiny back yard with the belve flowing and a blunt cipher of such epic proportions that you could catch a contact high from a block away…rapping along to classics like “It aint hard to tell”, “One Love” and “Represent”. Shouts to Enuff, DJ Knuckles, Bobby Trends, C-lo, Green Lantern, Young Sav, Miss Info, Eskay, and everyone else that I bumped into in there.(Literally..it was suuper tight in that yard!)
